Impact & Goals
PreachFor seeks to nurture young leaders for flourishing churches, thereby strengthening communities and supporting exemplary leadership in the broader society.
In 2026, our inaugural cohort of PreachFor America Fellows will be paired with host churches in New York City, Chicago, Nashville and West Michigan.
Impact on Churches and Communities
Nurturing inspiring and inspired vocational ministers and lay leaders of the future.
Increased capacity at host churches for additional ministry opportunities and community outreach.
Impact on Fellows
The unique opportunity to genuinely explore your calling, develop leadership skills, build relationships while making a difference in your community.
A career pathway comprising relevant church work experience, personalized mentoring, and the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree, all while earning a living wage.
Goals
Equip Future Leaders.
The PreachFor America Fellowship program will enable exceptional university graduates to develop their full potential for servant leadership through full-time work and mentorship in well-led churches where pastoral and lay leadership share a strong commitment to their full development: in faith, in work, and in relationships. PreachFor America Fellows will deepen their faith, make a positive impact in the church and broader community, and, if they wish, pursue a subsidized Master’s degree.
Grow Church Engagement in Leadership Development.
Working with individual churches and other ministry organizations, PreachFor seeks to increase awareness of the importance of faithful leadership development in the healthy functioning and growth of the church.
Enhance and Expand Ministry.
Bringing more talented graduates to serve in churches will enhance churches’ ministry among young adults, families, and youth, and expand Christian outreach on college and university campuses.
Build Leadership for Stronger Communities and Society.
PreachFor America Fellows will graduate with deeper faith and a stronger sense of servant leadership. Whether they pursue vocational ministry or careers in business, government, or education, they will be better lay leaders in their churches, and will strengthen the moral fabric of their workplaces, communities, and broader society.

We Need the Next Generation
Those born between 1997 to 2012 and beyond
Your church matters. The church as a whole matters. If we want to see flourishing churches for the next century, we need new leaders to emerge.
Recent decades have not only shown a decline in church attendance but also in interest in Christian leadership. It is assumed that religious “nones’ will continue to increase.
Data indicates Gen Z is breaking those assumptions. According to the Barna Group (2023), young adults are more spiritually engaged than any other living generation, with Bible reading and belief in God on the rise. (1)
Strong religious sentiments are stirring in young people. We aim to empower faithful, emerging leaders to steward the church for decades to come.
Take the Next Step.
