Dr. Trygve D. Johnson
Executive Director
Dr. Trygve Johnson brings more than two decades of visionary pastoral leadership, strategic fundraising, and theological expertise to his role as Executive Director of the PreachFor Foundation.

Previously, Trygve served as the Hinga-Boersma Dean of the Chapel at Hope College, where he oversaw Christian life and formation for the campus of over 3,000 students and 750 employees. His tenure included shepherding generations of students in their Christian faith, as well as leading transformative initiatives such as a nationally-recognized Chapel program, endowing Hope’s Campus Ministry program, hiring a diverse ministry team, constructing a new Campus Ministry house and prayer Chapel. Trygve also developed numerous programs to foster Christian formation and institutional growth.
A widely respected preacher, teacher, and author, Trygve earned his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. His publications include The Preacher as Liturgical Artist and contributions to theological collections exploring the intersection of faith and culture. Through PreachFor, Trygve continues to inspire and empower young adults to consider a calling to vocational ministry.
Trygve is ordained in the Reformed Church in America. He was an All-American baseball player at Northwestern College and was inducted into the Northwestern College Hall-of-Fame for Baseball. He is a teaching fellow of the Eugene Peterson Center for Christian Imagination at Western Theological Seminary.
Trygve is married to Dr. Kristen Deede Johnson, a celebrated writer and theologian, Principal of Wycliffe College in Toronto, Canada, and previously Dean at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich. Together they have two children, Trygve, Jr. and Ella, along with their two dogs Bennett and Ebey.
Bronwyn Alexander
Director of Communications and Development
Bronwyn brings more than 30 years of communications, marketing and fundraising expertise gained in the private sector, nonprofit sector and church organizations in the US and Asia.

At PreachFor, she implements the communications strategy and helps raise funds for the upcoming cohort of PreachFor America Fellows.
In Hong Kong, Bronwyn served as the Communications Director for Union Church Hong Kong where she was responsible for strategic communications, missions administration, and part of the team for the capital campaign for the new church building. It was an exciting transition to a church staff role after being an active congregant for three decades.
Bronwyn previously held senior roles at US, British and Hong Kong architecture, engineering, and supply chain sustainability consultancy firms. She has managed Asia-based teams responsible for marketing, communications, design and work winning programs. Her teams have secured multi-million dollar consulting assignments, developed communications for mergers and acquisitions, managed rebrands, and created campaigns for employee engagement and staff development.
She serves on the board of directors of Stand Asia, a nonprofit dedicated to the persecuted church in Asia through fact finding, awareness raising, and prayer advocacy. Prior to that she held volunteer roles at the former Christian Solidarity Worldwide HK, facilitating events and forums over a 10-year period.
Bronwyn received her B.A. from U.C. Santa Barbara and her Master’s from the University of Washington. She is a mother to three adult children, grandmother to numerous cats, and she thrives at a flourishing church – Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City, California.

Don Kanak
Chairman
Don is based in Bellevue, Washington, and spent more than 35 years in Asia as a senior executive. During his time there, he led or chaired some of Asia’s largest international insurance and investment businesses and also served in church and nonprofit leadership roles.

Don served many years as an elder at Tokyo Union Church and as a deacon and clerk of deacons at Union Church Hong Kong. His nonprofit experience includes President and Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan, Chairman of the EU–ASEAN Business Council, and Chairman of the Prudence Foundation, among others.
He has degrees from the University of North Carolina, Harvard Law School, and Oxford.
During his career, Don saw that exceptional servant leaders were key to the flourishing of all organizations, including churches. This inspired his vision for PreachFor. Don and his wife Kumi have 3 children and 4 grandchildren (with more on the way).
Greg Anderson Ph.D
Greg is a seasoned pastor with more than 38 years of experience serving in both the US (South Dakota and Ohio) and internationally, including Hong Kong and London.

Greg received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and holds graduate degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Yale (S.T.M. in Theology), and the University of Minnesota (Ph.D. in Communication Studies/Religious Studies).
Greg serves as the Chair of Insight for Living UK and on the board of the Whole Institute. He has served as Chair of the Evangelism Commission of the CCCU and on the Morrison Foundation and Habitat for Humanity England Board.
In 2004, he taught at Wheaton as a visiting assistant professor, where he restarted the debate program. He teaches Public Speaking, Evangelism, and Preparing for Ministry to undergraduates and Preaching to both undergraduate and graduate students in addition to his duties as graduate school Chaplain.
Greg has written extensively on C.S. Lewis as a communicator, preacher, and commentator, and is the recipient of multiple awards. He is a preacher and pastor at heart, however, and passionate about "communicating Christ and teaching others so to do.”
Greg and his wife of 40 years, Holly, have four adult children and are proud grandparents of four glorious grandkids.
W. Walker Lewis
Walker Lewis retired after an exceptional and diverse business career as an entrepreneur, founder/CEO, and as advisor and/or board member of some of the world’s largest companies.

After graduating from Harvard University and working at the Boston Consulting Group, Walker founded Strategic Planning Associates (SPA) in 1972, which, after expanding nationally and internationally, was acquired in 1989 by Marsh McLennan and renamed Mercer Management Consulting, where he served as Chairman from 1989 to 1991. Following that, Walker held senior roles at Avon (President of North America) and in investment banking (Dillion Reed and Kidder Peabody), until founding Devon Value Advisors in 1997. He has served on over 20 boards, including Ameriprise Financial, Applied Predictive Technologies, London Fog Industries, Inc., Mrs. Fields, Owens Corning, Scientific Games, and Unilab Corporation.
Walker is an avid reader of history, especially early American history. He has been a mentor to many, including some of America’s top CEOs, and considers it a joy to see talented young leaders grow, thrive, and lead fruitful lives, in career, in relationships, and spiritually. He and his wife, Ellen, live in Sun Valley. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
Barry Stowe
Barry lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He has had an extensive business career in the insurance industry in North America and Asia, and leadership in nonprofits.

Between 2006 and 2018, he served on the board and the group executive committee of Prudential plc, holding concurrent CEO roles in Asia and the US at different times. From 1995 to 2006, he held senior executive positions at American International Group (AIG), including serving as president of AIG Life Companies Accident & Health Worldwide. During his time in Asia, Barry served as Chairman of the Prudence Foundation and Chairman of Save the Children Hong Kong.
He currently serves on the boards of Zurich Insurance Group, Ltd., and Zurich Insurance Company, Ltd., and as a senior adviser to McKinsey & Company. Barry is co-chair of the Retirement Income Institute in Washington, D.C., a member of the board of trustees and chair of the governance committee of Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville, and a member of the Tennessee Business Leadership Council. Barry has a Bachelor of Arts in politics and classical studies from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a member of Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville and a father to three wonderful daughters.
Rhonda Lowry
Rhonda brings decades of experience in higher education and ministry to the PreachFor Foundation Board, with more than 16 years in leadership at Lipscomb University.

Rhonda began her career in education as an elementary school teacher in Minnesota, and later transitioned to higher education administration, serving as Director of Development for Willamette College of Law in Oregon. Responding to a calling toward theological education, she earned her Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, where she subsequently served as an adjunct professor of Theology and Spiritual Formation.
At Lipscomb University, Rhonda held dual roles as an assistant professor of Spiritual Formation and presidential spouse. In these leadership positions, she shaped the spiritual growth of hundreds of students. Her diverse leadership roles reflect her passion for advancing Christian scholarship, supporting emerging leaders, and the spiritual formation of ministers as they experience the transforming power of the Gospel they are called to preach.
Bringing decades of experience in higher education and ministry to her role on the PreachFor board, Rhonda remains committed to the mission of developing faithful servant leaders for the church and world through transformative Christian education and ministry training.
Rhonda and her husband, Randy, live in Nashville, Tennessee, and are the parents of a son and two daughters, each with wonderful spouses. Their nine grandchildren bring Rhonda and Randy great joy.
