PreachFor Foundation Appoints Barry Stowe and Rhonda Lowry to Board of Directors

Emerging non-profit expands leadership with specialists in transformative Christian education, organizational leadership and governance.

PreachFor Foundation, an emerging, Christian nonprofit with the mission of calling, forming and empowering new faith leaders to lead flourishing churches through its PreachFor America Fellowship program, has expanded its board of directors with two new appointments, including Barry Stowe, who joined in December 2024, and Rhonda Lowry, who joined in July 2025.

The PreachFor Foundation was established in 2023 to raise up a new generation of exceptional leaders for the church. Its PreachFor America Fellowship is a first-of-its kind, sustainable and transformative two-year program, allowing high-caliber young leaders to explore and discern a calling to Christian ministry, through hands-on experience in a thriving church, tailored mentorship, and a Master’s degree–all while earning a living wage.

“As an organization rooted in collaborations between churches, seminaries, Christian studycenters and more, the PreachFor Foundation board is comprised of business leaders, pastors and educators who understand the need to invest in the next generation of leadership,” said Don Kanak, chairman of the PreachFor Foundation. “Barry’s and Rhonda’s exceptional experiences in business, education and churches around the world give them a unique perspective on the leadership challenges the church in America is facing today.”

Barry Stowe brings an extensive business career in senior executive roles in the insurance industry in North America and Asia, and leadership in nonprofits. He has served as chairman of the Prudence Foundation, and Save the Children Hong Kong, and co-chair of the Retirement Income Institute in Washington, D.C.

Rhonda Lowry has more than 25 years in Higher Education, development of Christian leaders, and advancing Christian scholarship. She has served on the teaching faculty of Fuller Seminary, and was a faculty member for 16 years in the College of Bible and Ministry at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Lowry has been instrumental in shaping the spiritual growth of hundreds of young people.

Rhonda Lowry officially joined the PreachFor Foundation Board of Directors on July 25, 2025 in the role of Secretary, and Barry Stowe was appointed in December 2024 and now serves in the role of Treasurer. Additional PreachFor Foundation Board members include Donald P. Kanak (Chair), Greg Anderson, PhD, and Walker Lewis.
