Good Friday, Pillar Church

Why is Good Friday good? Because the cross is not just a scaffold of death. It is a borderland. It is the final frontier where evil reaches the limit of its power.

John says it this way, the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it.

Everything has a limit, even evil, but grace, grace has no measure, not edge, no ceiling, no bottom. And this is what we discover when we hear Jesus’ last words, it is finished from the perspective of his divinity. It is finished.
